This marks the brand’s first property on the Caribbean island, known for its stunning underwater landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The move underscores Hilton’s ambitious growth strategy in the Caribbean, where the company currently operates over 45 hotels, with an additional 35 properties in development.

A nnatural fit for Bonaire

Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire boasts 148 oceanfront rooms and is designed to offer an authentic experience inspired by the island’s pristine nature and cultural identity. Jenna Hackett, Hilton’s senior vice president and global leader of lifestyle brands, emphasized the alignment of the resort with the Tapestry Collection ethos. “Inspired by Bonaire’s pristine nature and its rich cultural identity, Delfins Beach Resort provides guests with spiritedly local cuisine and proximity to world-class diving that allow them to authentically experience the best of the island,” Hackett said.

The resort features two outdoor pools, a private beach, and an on-site dive center offering everything needed for underwater adventures. Guests can also enjoy elevated dining options, a beach spa, and a state-of-the-art gym. With versatile meeting spaces, including a ballroom accommodating up to 150 people, the property caters to both leisure and business travelers.

General Manager Chris Opgenoort highlighted the strategic significance of Hilton’s partnership for the resort. “With the island’s growing attention to the great potential of the American market and the increase in airlift, we have a partner in Hilton who positions us strongly in this source market,” he said. He also noted the advantages of Hilton’s global reach, including the Hilton Honors loyalty program, which he believes will help attract more American travelers to Bonaire.

Hilton’s broader Caribbean strategy

Hilton’s expansion in Bonaire is part of its aggressive growth strategy in the Caribbean and Latin America, which has seen the company broaden its reach by adding new countries and territories and launching new brands. In the first quarter of 2025, Hilton is set to debut the Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, a 500-room property under the Curio Collection by Hilton, located on the pristine shores of Playa Esmeralda.

Later in the year, Hilton will enter the U.S. Virgin Islands with the opening of Hampton by Hilton St. Thomas. Plans are also underway to expand to Dominica and Guyana in the coming years, further strengthening the company’s regional presence.

Guests staying at Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire can take advantage of Hilton Honors, a loyalty program. Members who book directly gain access to benefits such as exclusive discounts, flexible payment options, and free Wi-Fi, along with tools available through the Hilton Honors app.

With this latest addition, Hilton continues to solidify its presence in the Caribbean, connecting travelers to one-of-a-kind destinations while setting new standards for hospitality in the region.
