Despite a late surge in the fourth quarter, the Heat fell short once again, succumbing to a 102-88 defeat at Kaseya Center.

Throughout the series, the Heat has been plagued by slow starts, and Game 4 was no exception. After a lackluster second quarter where they scored just 12 points, the Heat faced a daunting 17-point halftime deficit. Despite valiant efforts from Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro in the fourth quarter, it was too little, too late for Miami.

The Celtics capitalized on the Heat’s struggles, with guard Derrick White leading the charge with a playoff career-high 38 points. White’s stellar performance, supported by eight 3-pointers, propelled the Celtics to their third double-digit victory in the series.

Miami faced an uphill battle against the top-seeded Celtics

Despite inspirational speeches from Adebayo and Kevin Love following their previous loss, the Heat found itself outmatched once again. Playing without key players Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier due to injuries, Miami faced an uphill battle against the top-seeded Celtics.

Although the Heat managed to narrow the gap in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 13 points at one stage, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Celtics’ lead. Adebayo led the Heat with 25 points and 17 rebounds, while Herro contributed 19 points.

With the series now at 3-1 in favor of the Celtics, the Heat faces a must-win situation as they head into Game 5 at the Celtics’ home court. Hindered by injuries and struggling to find their rhythm, Miami will need to regroup and put forth a flawless performance to keep their playoff hopes alive against a formidable opponent.
