Renowned for his historic achievements in sprinting, Bolt attained the ‘Triple-Triple’ at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, clinching three gold medals in three consecutive Olympic Games. His journey to global stardom began with his remarkable performance at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where he secured gold in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay, all in world record times.

World records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay

With world records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay, Bolt’s illustrious career exemplifies excellence and athleticism. As an ambassador for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, he will play a pivotal role in promoting the event, starting with a cameo appearance in the official anthem music video alongside iconic artists Sean Paul and Kes.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Bolt stated, “I am thrilled to be an ambassador for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Cricket holds a special place in my heart, being a part of life in the Caribbean. I eagerly anticipate attending West Indies matches at the World Cup and contributing to the growth of cricket globally.”

Acknowledging the significance of cricket’s expansion into the United States, Bolt emphasized the sport’s potential in the biggest sports market globally. He highlighted the opportunity leading towards cricket’s inclusion in the LA Olympics in 2028.

A global icon
