After opening its first store in Hollywood, Florida, on Thursday, renowned Jamaican-owned fast-food chain Juici Patties announced all its stock had been sold out in one day.
They made the announcement on Saturday via their Instagram page, saying: “Thank you everyone for your extraordinary support today, and for buying 5 days worth of patties in 1 day! 😉Unfortunately, we will be closed tomorrow (Sunday) while we restock and prepare to open for you on Monday. See you then! Thank you for your support!”
The store received overwhelming support from the Caribbean diaspora in South Florida on opening day, with long lines of eager customers waiting for a taste of the Jamaican culinary staple.
Juici Patties announced that an additional five stores will be opening in South Florida this summer: Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, Miami Gardens, Sunrise, and Orlando.
Juici Patties franchising available
At the helm of this ambitious expansion is Daniel Chin, the director of operations and CEO of Juici Patties U.S. division.
As the son of the company’s founder, Jukie Chin, Daniel is spearheading the mission to introduce Juici Patties’ signature offerings to discerning American palates.
In 1978, 16-year-old Jukie baked his first batch of patties in his mother’s kitchen and sold them at a shop located at the front of the family home.
Two years later, he opened his first store located in May Pen, Clarendon under the name Juici Beef Patties. They later expanded the menu to include shrimp, chicken, and vegetable patties, to both innovate and accommodate changing customer preferences.
With more than 60 stores in Jamaica, they now want to reach the Caribbean diaspora.
To foster growth and collaboration, Juici Patties has extended an invitation to potential franchisees to join its journey into the United States market.
A website has even been created at https://juicipattiesfranchising.com/ inviting interested parties to apply.
