In anticipation of the upcoming CARICOM conference on cricket, Cricket West Indies (CWI) CEO Johnny Grave expressed enthusiasm, stating that the timing for such a gathering couldn’t be better.
The conference, proposed to be held next month in Trinidad, aligns well with CWI’s plans to discuss their new four-year strategic plan, slated for the end of this month.

During the CARICOM heads of government meeting, CWI president Dr. Kishore Shallow provided updates on preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup. The meeting emphasized the unique character of West Indies cricket and stressed the importance of strategic reviews for the sport’s development.
Grave highlighted key areas of development in CWI’s strategic plan, including improving practice facilities and establishing a high-performance system. He expressed optimism about garnering support from CARICOM leaders to drive cricket’s growth and preserve its cultural significance in the region.
