This partnership marks a historic moment for the federation and is expected to greatly benefit Jamaica’s bobsleigh team as they pursue their Olympic aspirations.

The Hotel Saranac in New York will serve as the new training headquarters for the Jamaica bobsleigh team, providing them with a dedicated base for their training activities. This move is part of the federation’s strategy to enhance the team’s competitiveness and prepare them for future Olympic Games.

Chris Stokes, chairman and CEO of the JBSF, highlighted the ambitious goals set by the federation for the upcoming Olympic Games in 2030 and 2034. The partnership with NCSC is seen as a crucial step towards achieving these goals by adopting successful training models used by leading bobsled teams worldwide.

Financial aid and support

The partnership with NCSC will not only provide the JBSF with access to training facilities and equipment but also financial aid to cover essential expenses such as accommodation, meals, and transportation. This support comes as a significant relief for the federation, considering the high cost of operations involved in running the bobsleigh program.

Stokes emphasized the importance of leveraging Brand Jamaica to secure partnerships and funding for the bobsleigh program. By aligning the JBSF’s brand with NCSC’s brand, the federation aims to capitalize on Jamaica’s strong brand identity to attract support and resources for its athletes.

The partnership between JBSF and NCSC is expected to be a long-term commitment aimed at achieving sustained success for Jamaica’s bobsleigh team. Both parties are committed to improving talent identification, recruitment, and development processes to ensure ongoing progress and competitiveness.

Overall, the partnership between JBSF and NCSC represents a significant milestone for Jamaica’s bobsleigh program, providing the team with essential support and resources to pursue their Olympic goals effectively.
