Saudi-CARICOM summit strengthens diplomatic ties

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and CARICOM nations joined forces on Thursday for the inaugural Saudi-CARICOM Summit, marking a historic milestone in international diplomacy.

The event, held in Riyadh under the esteemed patronage of HRH the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, signifies a significant step towards fostering closer relations and forging new partnerships between the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member states and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A collaborative diplomatic endeavor

Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica and the Head of CARICOM, assumed a pivotal role as he co-chaired the summit alongside HRH the Crown Prince. 

A statement from the Press Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister in Dominica shared that the meeting was characterized by a series of engaging round-table discussions, with the primary aim of deepening the existing bilateral relations while laying the groundwork for innovative partnerships.

A warm welcome in Riyadh

Prior to the commencement of the summit, Prime Minister Skerrit received a warm welcome from HRH Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region. 

This cordial reception set the tone for what promises to be a constructive and fruitful exchange of ideas and initiatives.
