Yvette N. Harris, founder and CEO of Harris Public Relations, was recognized with the Arts and Cultural Tourism Award at the 2025 Serving the Arts Awards, hosted by the Arts & Business Council of Miami in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
The award celebrates individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding innovation and impact at the intersection of arts and cultural tourism. Harris, a public relations veteran with over 25 years of experience, has long used her platform to elevate diverse cultural narratives and amplify the voices of Black and Brown communities. Harris is also a dedicated civic leader. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and chairs its Multicultural Tourism & Development Committee. Her community involvement extends to the Miami-Dade County Community Grant Review Panel and The Miami Foundation’s 2025 Community Grants program, where she served as a community advisor. In addition, she currently serves as PTSA President at New World School of the Arts High School.
The award was presented during a celebratory ceremony at the historic Actor’s Playhouse on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. The event marked the 40th anniversary of the Arts & Business Council of Miami and drew a record-breaking 345 nominations from across South Florida’s arts community. The evening featured live performances, tributes, and networking in celebration of the region’s creative economy.
