The St. James Health Department is investigating the circumstances which led to several students and a teacher at the John Rollins Success Primary School in St James falling ill on Friday before and after the school’s general devotional exercise. The school is awaiting the report on the health department’s findings.
Principal, Yvonne Miller-Wisdom says there were nine occurrences of vomiting by students.
Reports are that a teacher was the first person affected, vomiting and fainting. followed by the students.
The teacher’s episode started before general devotion and the students began after devotion.
Contact was made with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the St James Public Health Department.
