The new program invites travel advisors to benefit from the brands’ first-ever online training platform, which has been modernized to serve as a one-stop-shop for becoming a Certified Sandals Specialist.

Originally created as an in-person training series over 30 years ago by the late Gordy Silverman and Maura Cecere, the Senior Director of Industry Training and Senior Director of Training Development, the course, in its new online format, now allows travel advisors from around the globe to become Certified Sandals Specialists at their own pace with access to the portal available 24/7.

Advisors will retain access to the program even after completion, allowing them to revisit lessons and access new or updated reference materials including the latest information on specific resorts, room categories, and programming across the Sandals and Beaches portfolio.

“The Sandals Resorts brand was built from the ground up in partnership with travel advisors, and they remain vital to our business,” says Gary Sadler, Executive Vice President of Sales & Industry Relations for Unique Vacations, Inc.

“We’ve always believed wholeheartedly and invested heavily in advisor education to help these most dedicated partners distinguish themselves in their important line of work and grow their business. In taking this program online, we’re opening the doors to travel advisors from every corner of the globe, creating limitless opportunities for both the advisor and the Sandals and Beaches guest.”

The Sandals Training Program will feature 21 dynamic lessons within four chapters: “The Closer You Look, the Better We Look,” “Why Sandals & Beaches Resorts?,” “Which Sandals or Beaches Resort?,” and “Fast Track to Growth Profits”.

Each lesson offers vital information about resorts, group experiences, destination weddings, inclusions, and more, including entirely new expansions and openings, such as the brand new Sandals Dunn’s River opening in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, in May.

Certified Sandals Specialists not only receive industry-recognized credibility, but they also can collaborate with the company’s Business Development Managers (BDMs), experts who can help find and close more bookings.

Other perks of becoming a Certified Sandals Specialist include rewards that can be used for advertising efforts, car wrap programs, the ability to earn bonus payouts and commission when booking directly with UVI, and earning points to use on personal trips to Sandals or Beaches Resort.
