West Indies’ captain, Stephan Pascal, played a pivotal role by scoring a top-notch 58 off 84 balls, setting the stage for the victory.

Nathan Edward delivered a Player-of-the-Match performance, taking three wickets for 28 runs with the ball and later anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 49 off 80 balls.

Bowlers Shine

West Indies bowlers put up an excellent performance to restrict England to 192 all out in 46.3 overs. Nathan Edward’s three-wicket haul was crucial in dismantling England’s batting line-up.

Stephan Pascal showcased his intent early on by hitting three consecutive fours in the fifth over. He reached his fifty from 73 balls, providing a solid foundation for the chase.

The match went down to the wire, but Nathan Edward’s composure ensured West Indies secured the win with just two wickets in hand and nine overs remaining.

Super Six Qualification

With this victory, West Indies Under-19s collected two points, bringing their total to four in the group stage, provisionally moving them into second place behind England.

“I was cramping up when I was batting,: Pascal said. “So long as I was in the middle, it was normal, but when I got to the sidelines, my heartbeat was high.

“We have shown a lot of passion. It was a lapse of concentration on my part [that saw him lose his wicket], but Nathan [Edward] was up to the task,” noted Pascal in his post-game TV interview.
