Despite Nkrumah Bonner’s return to form with a half-century, the Scorpions could only manage 158 all out. Fast bowler Shermon Lewis and leg-spinner Darel Cyrus were the chief architects of their downfall. In response, the Volcanoes faced some hiccups but eventually crossed the finish line in the 37th over.
Trinidadian left-hander Jeremy Solozano top-scored for the Volcanoes with 40, while Alick Athanaze contributed a brisk 36. Shamar Springer played a vital role in steering the home side to victory with an unbeaten 24.
