St Kitts and Nevis Athletics is basking in the glory of their junior athletes’ outstanding performances at the recently concluded Carifta Games in Grenada.
The young athletes from St Kitts and Nevis have left Grenada with a commendable collection of three silver medals.
Akanye Samuel Francis, Jaheem Clarke, and Jermahd Huggins emerged as the proud recipients of these prestigious accolades.
Gratitude extended to athletes and supporters
Expressing their gratitude, the association extended heartfelt thanks to the athletes for their unwavering dedication and determination.
Additionally, they acknowledged the invaluable support provided by their ardent supporters, whose efforts ensured the team had all necessary provisions throughout their journey.
In a social media post, St Kitts and Nevis Athletics conveyed their appreciation, stating, “As team #unstoppableskn makes its way back to St Kitts and Nevis today, we take this opportunity to thank all persons and entities instrumental in the team’s success over the weekend. To the athletes we say a hearty thank you for your individual and team performances, to the coaches who worked with you throughout the season and at the games we say thank you. To our physiotherapist and all other members of the support team including our team.”
St Kitts and Nevis demonstrated their commitment to sporting excellence by sending a contingent of 24 talented athletes to the Carifta Games.
Reflecting on performance
While this year’s performance may not have mirrored the outstanding achievements of their 2023 campaign, during which the athletes clinched a remarkable total of 11 medals, including five gold, the association remains proud of their athletes’ dedication and resilience on the international stage.
