Seasoned cricket veterans Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard, have been named in a 13-man West Indies squad to face England in the NatWest International T20 scheduled for Saturday, September 16 at the Emirates Riverside, Durham.
Also included in the squad are Marlon Samuels and Sunil Narine.
Carlos Brathwaite is team captain
ICC World Cup hero Carlos Brathwaite will lead the side that Chairman of Selectors Courtney Browne believes has the right mix of youth and experience to do well against their English counterparts.
“We have a good mix of experience and youth that should adapt to English conditions quickly,” Browne said.
“Coming off the series win against India in the Caribbean in July, our expectations is to see the team play a highly competitive game and bring that T20 Caribbean atmosphere to England.”
