West Indies cricket fans can gear up for a sensational year of action, as the men’s team embarks on an extensive tour across multiple continents, while the women’s squad prepares for a critical World Cup qualifying campaign and a historic home series.

The Men in Maroon will launch their 2025 season with a challenging limited-overs tour in the United Kingdom, featuring a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Ireland in Dublin from May 21-25. Barely pausing for breath, they will then face England in a three-match ODI battle (May 29 – June 3), followed by a three-game T20 International (T20I) series (June 6-10). The UK tour wraps up with three T20Is against Ireland in Belfast (June 12-15).

Australia series begins new era

With the ICC World Test Championship cycle commencing, West Indies will return home to host arch-rival Australia in a prestigious three-match Test series for the Frank Worrell Trophy. The intense red-ball battles will unfold in Barbados (June 25-29)Grenada (July 3-7) and Jamaica (July 12-16).

Following the Test series, West Indies will lock horns with Australia in a five-match T20I series, split between Jamaica (July 20, 22) and St. Kitts (July 25, 26, 28).

The West Indies Women’s team will begin its quest for a spot in the ICC Cricket World Cup with a crucial qualifying tournament in Pakistan from April 4-19. Competing against five other teams, only two will earn coveted berths for the marquee event in India (August-September 2025).

After the qualifiers, the squad will head to England for a full white-ball tour (May 21 – June 8), where they will play three T20Is and three ODIs.

Historic home series against South Africa

A landmark moment awaits the West Indies Women’s team, as they host South Africa for an international white-ball series at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados—the first-ever international series at this iconic venue. The schedule includes Three ODIs (June 11, 14, 17), and Three T20Is (June 20, 22, 23).

This groundbreaking event underscores the rising prominence of women’s cricket in the Caribbean, with expectations of strong local support and thrilling contests.

With a demanding calendar featuring tours across multiple continents, major rivalries, and pivotal World Cup qualifiers, both West Indies senior teams are set for a defining year. As the men’s squad builds towards the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup, and the women’s team fights for a spot on the sport’s biggest stage, 2025 promises to be a landmark year for West Indies cricket.
