Opting to bat first, Leeward Islands rode on Boyce’s explosive batting display, as the 26-year-old right-hander smashed 67 runs off just 52 deliveries. Boyce’s aggressive innings, featuring six fours and four sixes, provided the platform for Leeward Islands to post a competitive total of 139 for seven in their allotted 20 overs.

Barbados’ pursuit of the target seemed promising, especially with former West Indies left-hander Kyshona Knight (50 not out) leading the charge. However, Leeward Islands’ bowlers staged a remarkable comeback, restricting Barbados to 127 for seven in their 20 overs.
