A major winter storm sweeping across much of the United States has caused multiple flight cancellations at Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) and Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), affecting travel for passengers arriving and departing this weekend.
The storm, which is impacting areas from the Southern Plains through the Midwest and into the Northeast, has brought snow, sleet, freezing rain, and dangerously cold temperatures. More than 180 million people across the U.S. are under winter weather alerts, and at least 18 states (including Delaware, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, and others) and Washington, D.C. have declared states of emergency.
