Vote-by-mail ballots to be sent for March 2026 Municipal Elections

The Broward County Supervisor of Elections has begun mailing vote-by-mail ballots ahead of the March 10, 2026 Municipal Elections.

Ballots for voters covered under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) were mailed on January 24 to eligible military members and overseas voters. Domestic vote-by-mail ballots will be sent out during the state-mandated mailing window of January 29 through February 5 to voters who have already requested a ballot.

Municipal elections will be held in the City of Lauderhill and in the City of Pembroke Pines, where voters in Districts 1 and 4 will head to the polls.

UOCAVA voters include U.S. citizens living abroad, active-duty members of the U.S. Uniformed Services, the Merchant Marine, and the commissioned corps of the U.S. Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, as well as their eligible family members.

Several key deadlines are approaching ahead of Election Day. The deadline to register to vote is Monday, February 9, 2026. Voters requesting a vote-by-mail ballot must do so by Thursday, February 26, at 5 p.m. There will be no early voting for this election. Election Day is Tuesday, March 10, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Supervisor of Elections is reminding voters that all vote-by-mail ballots include prepaid return postage. Completed ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. Voters may also return ballots to a secure ballot intake station.

Voters must sign the Voter Certificate on the return envelope for their ballot to be valid. UOCAVA voters have the option to return their ballots by fax by 7 p.m. Eastern Time on March 10, using fax numbers 954-357-7033 or 954-321-0310. Ballots may not be returned by email.
