South Florida to get a weather rollercoaster as two cold fronts expected in coming days

A series of cold fronts will drop Florida’s temperatures below normal in the coming days. By the second week of January, even colder air could arrive. However, weather officials says it is too early to determine exactly “how cold”

A weather rollercoaster is on the way, with the first cold front expected to move in on Friday, bringing cooler lows for the weekend. A second front will follow early next week, ushering in the coldest air of the season so far. Prepare for fluctuating temperatures as the week progresses.

Friday morning brought cooler temperatures, with readings in the low 60s and upper 50s. The day will be mostly sunny and dry, with seasonable highs in the upper 70s. As the cold front moves through, temperatures will dip into the low 50s, leading to a chilly start on Saturday morning. Saturday will see highs remaining cool in the low 70s under bright, sunny skies.

On Sunday, expect another cool morning with lows in the upper 50s. However, the day will warm up to comfortable highs in the low to mid-70s, with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day.

Monday will bring warmer temperatures as kids head back to school after the holiday break. Lows will be slightly above normal, in the mid-60s, while highs will reach around 80 degrees with a southwest breeze.

The second cold front will move through, causing temperatures to drop. By Tuesday morning, lows will tumble to the upper 50s, and highs will remain cool, near 70 degrees, in the afternoon.

Wednesday will see the coldest start, with lows dropping to the upper 40s inland and low 50s along the coast. Highs will stay cool, reaching only the upper 60s.
