Police searching for SUV driver involved in a hit-and-run that killed man in NW Miami-Dade

Authorities in Miami-Dade are continuing their search for the driver and the SUV involved in a fatal hit-and-run that took place in northwest Miami-Dade in November. The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. on November 1, near the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 132nd Street.

According to Miami-Dade Police, the victim was struck by a 2014 Honda CR-V. Tragically, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to assist the victim or report the crash, instead fleeing the scene immediately after the collision.

Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement to locate the driver, they have yet to make an arrest. Investigators are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the driver to come forward, as they continue to work to bring justice to the victim’s family. The case remains under investigation as police follow up on leads.

The victim’s identity wasn’t released.

On Thursday, police released images of the 2014 Honda CR-V involved in the fatal hit-and-run in northwest Miami-Dade. According to authorities, the vehicle is blue and has noticeable damage to its front end and right side. The SUV is also identified by its Florida license plate number, GPNU61. Police are urging the public to assist in identifying the driver and are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident to come forward as they continue their investigation into the tragic crash.
