Authorities in Sunrise have launched an investigation into a deadly double stabbing that occurred early Wednesday morning in a residential neighborhood.
According to Sunrise police, officers were called to The Retreat at Sawgrass Village, located in the 3000 block of Northwest 130th Avenue, just before 2 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals who had been stabbed, reportedly in the community’s parking garage.
One victim died from their injuries at the scene. The second victim was transported for medical treatment, but their condition has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities have not released information on what led up to the stabbing, and the investigation remains ongoing.
