Miami-Dade County celebrate Black Business Month

The Miami-Dade County Black Affairs Advisory Board (BAAB), the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT), the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), and the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will join Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert, III, Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee, other elected officials, and community partners to kick off Black Business Month at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 1. The celebratory event will take place at the Stephen P. Clark Center,111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL 33128.

National Black Business Month is devoted to supporting and celebrating Black-owned businesses across the country by highlighting this entrepreneurial community to make sure more Black-owned businesses reach higher levels of success. In 2022, the Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution declaring August as “Black Business Month” in Miami-Dade County. Visit the August calendar for a list of events and activities taking place to celebrate Black Business Month.
