Man shot and robbed of $30,000 Rolex at Miramar apartment complex

Miramar police

A 33-year-old man was hospitalized early Sunday morning after being shot and robbed of his expensive Rolex watch at the Solena Apartments in Miramar, police said.

Officers responded around 1:50 a.m. to reports of a man with a gunshot wound on the 3000 block of 147th Terrace. They found the victim inside a residence, who told investigators he was confronted by an unknown male demanding his $30,000 Rolex. The suspect then shot the man, took the watch, and fled the scene.

The victim was treated at a hospital and is expected to fully recover, though authorities have not disclosed where he was shot.

Miramar Police, assisted by Broward Sheriff’s Office K9 and Aviation units, conducted a search but were unable to locate the suspect. A perimeter was established, and detectives have alerted pawn shops in neighboring cities to watch for the stolen watch.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
