A 50-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a woman in Pompano Beach on Sunday, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Edward Wiggins was charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and shooting into an occupied dwelling following the incident.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Northwest 14th Street, where they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
Wiggins was later taken into custody as the investigation continues.
