Lauderhill launches $150 Senior Utility Rebate Program

Starting July 15, seniors in Lauderhill can apply for a $150 credit toward their next utility bill under the city’s new Senior Utility Rebate Program.

The initiative is designed to ease the financial burden of rising utility costs for older residents. To qualify, applicants must be at least 55 years old, reside in Lauderhill, and have an active Lauderhill utility account. The utility bill must be in the applicant’s name, and proof of both the bill and valid identification will be required. The program is limited to one rebate per household.

City officials say the program is part of a broader effort to support older residents living on fixed or limited incomes. Utility expenses can take up a large portion of monthly budgets, and this one-time credit is designed to help seniors cover essential services such as water, electricity, and other utilities.

Applications and full program details are available at lauderhill-fl.gov/seniorrebate. For assistance, residents can also call 954-730-3030.

The City of Lauderhill noted that it will provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Residents needing special assistance or alternative formats can call 954-730-3000.
