The Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) has announced that its long-serving President and CEO, Haitian-American Beatrice Louissaint, will step down on December 12, 2025, concluding more than 25 years of transformative leadership.

Louissaint, who immigrated to Miami from Haiti at age 5, reflected on her tenure, saying, “It has been an extraordinary privilege to guide FSMSDC through decades of meaningful growth and impact. The time has come to welcome new leadership and fresh perspectives. I’m confident the strong foundation we’ve built ensures FSMSDC’s continued success and stability. Our mission will and must continue.”

Under her stewardship, FSMSDC-certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) have flourished:

  • More than 75 MBEs generate over $50 million annually.

  • Ten MBEs have surpassed $500 million in revenue, with one going public.

  • Collectively, FSMSDC-certified companies support more than 80,000 jobs, contributing significantly to wealth creation across Florida and beyond.

The FSMSDC Board of Directors has launched a national search for Louissaint’s successor, partnering with Charity Search Group—a top-ranked executive search firm according to Hunt Scanlon Media’s 2025 rankings. A Board-appointed Selection Committee and transition plan will guide the onboarding process to ensure continuity.

Additionally, the Board has initiated a strategic pivot and long-term sustainability plan to propel FSMSDC into a new era of innovation, equity, and scalable impact.

Louissaint added, “Leadership transitions are natural moments of renewal. I am incredibly proud of all we have accomplished together and confident FSMSDC is positioned for even greater impact in the years ahead.”

To honor Louissaint’s legacy and support ongoing efforts, FSMSDC has launched its 50th Anniversary Legacy Campaign, inviting the community to help ensure the Council’s mission of building wealth in communities of color continues to thrive.

Founded in 1975, FSMSDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing minority business participation and growth through corporate partnerships, training, and access to capital and technology. It is one of 23 regional councils affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), serving as a vital link between corporate America and Florida’s diverse business community.

Florida has a large and vibrant Caribbean diaspora, many of whom are entrepreneurs or business owners. FSMSDC helps minority-owned businesses—including those from Caribbean backgrounds—gain certification and access to corporate contracts, training, and capital.
