The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide investigators is searching for the driver of a Nissan Rogue that struck and killed a man Sunday morning in Pompano Beach.
According to reports around 4:15 a.m., on Sunday, Oct. 13, Broward County Regional Communications received a call about a person in the middle of the road near the 1700 block of North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. On scene, emergency crews located an adult male lying on the roadway who had sustained injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
According to investigators, vehicle parts located at the scene of the crash indicate the hit-and-run vehicle is a 2008 to 2013 silver Nissan Rogue.
