Trinidad and Tobago nationals arrested in Grenada in connection to Egmont shooting

In a recent development related to the Mount Egmont shooting that transpired on August 14, 2023, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has officially disclosed that two individuals from Trinidad and Tobago have been apprehended.

Police raid in St John’s leads to arrests

During a press conference held on Monday, Commissioner of Police Don McKenzie of Grenada revealed that on Friday, November 24, the RGPF conducted a targeted operation in the St John’s area. 

This operation resulted in the apprehension of two Trinidad and Tobago nationals, one of whom is considered a Person of Interest in the ongoing investigation surrounding the Mount Egmont shooting.

The Mount Egmont shooting, which occurred on August 14, 2023, claimed the life of Delvon Thomas, a 30-year-old resident of Carriacou. 

Charges faced

The authorities have arrested Yohance Charles, a resident of Woburn, St Georges, in connection with the Egmont shooting incident. 

Charles now faces a series of serious charges, including Abetment of Capital Murder, Abetment to Attempt to Commit Capital Murder, Possession of a Controlled Drug, and Possession of Ammunition.
