Guyana’s President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali receives Order of Freedom of Barbados

This esteemed honor was bestowed upon him as part of Barbados’ 57th Independence Day celebrations, in which 35 outstanding individuals were recognized for their exceptional contributions.

The honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados

The Order of Freedom of Barbados, a distinguished honorary award, is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to Barbados, the wider Caribbean region, the Caribbean Diaspora, or humanity.

A commitment to regional integration and collaboration

The Government Information Service (GIS) of Barbados highlighted President Ali’s remarkable commitment to enhancing cooperation and collaboration, particularly in the realms of regional integration, social upliftment, and economic partnerships. 

His dedicated efforts, especially in the fields of Food and Nutrition Security, have played a pivotal role in advancing the well-being of the people of Barbados and the broader Caribbean region.

An esteemed companion in recognition

This distinguished honor was also bestowed upon Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who has been acknowledged for his influential and constructive role in fostering collaboration, promoting positive international relations, and advancing economic diplomacy.
