Fresh off the heels of his meteoric rise in the music scene, dancehall star Valiant dazzled audiences with his debut acoustic performance at TacBar restaurant in Kingston on March 20.
The event, which drew a full crowd of his peers and supporters, showcased Valiant’s versatility and raw vocal talent, leaving attendees in awe. He delivered live renditions of his popular tracks, including “Lumbah”, “Mad Out”, and “Expensive,” entertaining the audience with his captivating voice.
One of the highlights of the evening came when Valiant joined forces with fellow dancehall artist Stalk Ashley for a mesmerizing rendition of his hit single “Narcissistic.”
Adding to the excitement, Valiant welcomed rising artiste Armanii to the stage. Known for her infectious track “Dunce Barbie” and more, Armanii brought his unique flair to the event, further elevating the energy in the room. Not to be outdone, Zidii, the mastermind behind the viral sensation “Formula”, made a guest appearance, captivating the audience with his charismatic stage presence and delivery.
Further elevating the acoustic experience, Valiant was backed by a talented band comprising decorated touring musicians who have played for the likes of Romaine Virgo, Koffee, and others. Their expert musicianship added depth and richness to Valiant’s performance, enhancing the overall ambiance of the event.
Reflecting on the evening, Valiant expressed his gratitude to his fans and fellow artists, stating, “Performing acoustically for the first time at TacBar was an incredible experience. The energy from the crowd was electric, and sharing the stage with Stalk Ashley, Armanii, Zidii, and the talented band was a true honor. I can’t wait to continue this journey and share more music with you all.”
Earlier this year it was announced that Valiant is now a part of the Sony Music UK family, joining Koffee as the other Jamaican act currently signed to the British arm of Sony Music Entertainment.
He also won the prestigious MOBO Award for ‘Best Caribbean Music Act’ at the 26th ceremony last month.
