R&B-reggae sensation Tosh Alexander has just dropped the mesmerizing official music video for her sultry new single, “Chat To Me Nice.”
This captivating track, adorned with velvety vocals and rich production, marks a fresh start for the acclaimed Jamaican-American artist as she ventures into showcasing her diverse musical talents beyond the shores of the Caribbean. Directed by Djuvane Armstrong (known for works with Sean Paul, Masicka, Shenseea), the visually stunning experience was filmed in Jamaica earlier this year, elevating Tosh Alexander’s allure to cinematic levels.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song which was released this week, Tosh reveals, “For Chat To Me Nice, the melodies came to me first, and then I started to ask myself how you would want a guy to approach you. I knew I wanted to go for a record that feels very 90s with a modern twist. Chat To Me Nice has all the elements of Tosh Alexander, R&B, Reggae, and a bit of Dancehall mixed in, with a strong baseline to coincide with the tempo and instruments.”

“Chat To Me Nice” follows Tosh’s successful 2022 release, “Cum Yah,” which soared to the Top 10 on the iTunes Reggae charts.
With this being her first release of 2024, Tosh promises a series of fresh singles and accompanying visuals throughout the year, leading up to the release of her debut project later in the year.
Born and raised in Brooklyn but with roots in Jamaica and South Florida, Tosh draws from her diverse cultural experiences in her music. “Growing up in both cultures has shaped my musical style and expression,” she explains, embodying the best of both worlds in her artistry.
She effortlessly blends sultry and soulful deliveries with fierce deejaying abilities native to her Jamaican roots. This unique fusion of styles allows her to transcend genres, consistently captivating a diverse range of listeners.
Amidst all of these sides, she describes her music: “In my music, you can recognize moments of sensuality and strength— the prowess of being a Woman. That’s the message. It’s important for me to talk about other situations I’ve been in that other women can relate to regardless of where my listeners are tuning in from.”
