Tickets now on sale for Vybz Kartel Florida concert on May 17

Tickets are officially on sale for dancehall heavyweight Vybz Kartel’s much-hyped return to the Florida stage, with prices ranging from $150 to a premium $1,600 for floor seats.

The show—set for May 17, 2025, at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise—is Kartel’s first Florida appearance in more than two decades, and only his second U.S. performance since regaining his visa earlier this year.

The concert, dubbed Vybz Kartel & Friends, follows back-to-back sold-out shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 11 and 12, which marked his historic reentry into the U.S. music scene after a 20-year absence. The Florida event, powered by Live Nation, promises to bring the same high-energy vibes to a venue that holds over 20,000 fans.

Kartel also recently revealed that he now lives in Florida. Shortly after the New York shows, he took to social media to share a photo of his new home in the state—a sprawling mansion—confirming to fans that he’s officially made the Sunshine State his base.

While no supporting acts have been officially announced, the event flyer hints that Kartel won’t be taking the stage alone. Speculation is already swirling about potential surprise guests, especially from his long list of collaborators.

Kartel, known for hits like Miami Vice Episode and Dancehall, has been on an undeniable comeback run since his U.S. and U.K. visas were reinstated in January. In addition to releasing the 10th anniversary edition of his Viking album—featuring seven new tracks and fan favorites—he’s also launched his own rum brand, Str8 Vybz, and made a splash at major events like the Grammy Awards and the MOBOs.

After Miami, Kartel is slated to take his reborn global brand to Europe, with appearances confirmed at SummerJam in Germany and Wireless Festival in London this July.

Fans eager to witness the Gaza boss live in Florida should move quickly—if Brooklyn was any indication, this show won’t stay in stock for long.
