Students will also had the opportunity to ask him questions and take photos with the international star.
The Miramar community has a strong Caribbean population, and both the students and the community will cherish this special visit. City of Miramar’s Mayor Wayne Messam was also be present during the visit.
Born in the Bronx, NY and raised in Jamaica, Riley’s father, famous reggae star Jimmy Riley, moved the family to South Florida in the early ‘80’s. Tarrus Riley would eventually graduate from Miramar High School in 1998.
Riley is among a lineup of international artists that will perform on the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival concert stage. In addition to Riley, the line-up of entertainers includes Morgan Heritage, King Yellowman & the Saggitarious Band, Ken Boothe, Leon Coldero & Code 868, and Code Red Band.
