Stalk Ashley and VIGORMAN unite Kingston and Tokyo on ‘Fading Away’

Produced by VIGORMAN, Gacha Medz, and Ashley’s longtime manager and producer Jaxx, “Fading Away” is the result of a nearly three-year creative journey between the two artists. The track blends emotional storytelling with genre-bending production, highlighting the shared human experience of love, distance, and vulnerability.

Stalk Ashley commented, “I think it’s really important for Jamaicans to secure international collaborations and keep pushing the culture forward. We’re loved all over the world—such a small island with such a massive impact.”

The connection began in 2022 when VIGORMAN visited Jamaica and expressed his admiration for Ashley’s music. Upon returning to Japan, the artists remained in contact and began developing the track remotely, navigating time zones and creative exchanges across continents.

VIGORMAN stated, “This wasn’t just about making a song. It was about building a movement—creating something that connects two cultures and lays the groundwork for more collaboration.”

The music video, directed by acclaimed Jamaican filmmaker Shane Creative (444), premiered at an exclusive listening party in Kingston on June 26, featuring live performances from both artists and a special DJ set by Silent Addy, known for the Billboard-charting hit “Shake It To The Max (FLY)”. This release marks VIGORMAN’s first official collaboration with an international artist and his first live performance in Jamaica.

Ashley added, “I was surprised to learn how deep the love for dancehall runs in Japan. Even with a language barrier, the music still connects us. That’s powerful to witness and be a part of.”

Looking ahead, the duo is already envisioning the next phase, including live performances in Japan and more genre-defying collaborations that further unify global audiences through sound. VIGORMAN shared, “The dream is to bring Stalk Ashley to Japan and build something that lasts beyond this one track. This is just the beginning.”

“Fading Away” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
