As Jamaica celebrates its 63rd year of independence, the City of Lauderhill will host a musical celebration like no other, headlined by the unstoppable force of reggae and dancehall: Sizzla Kalonji.

With a legendary career spanning three decades, Sizzla stands as a pillar of Jamaican music and culture. His global anthem “Solid As A Rock” has become more than a song, it’s a declaration of resilience, identity, and spirit. Now, as he commemorates 30 years in the business, fans in South Florida will get a rare and powerful opportunity to experience Sizzla live, right here in Lauderhill, just months before his big anniversary celebration in Kingston Jamaica, on Sunday October 19th, 2025, during Heroes Weekend at Sabina Park.

The Solid As A Rock Concert, happening August 3rd, will also feature veteran hitmakers Lady G, Admiral Tibet, and the soulful powerhouse Etana, creating a multigenerational lineup that bridges reggae’s roots, dancehall’s golden era, and today’s conscious sound.

“It’s not just another show, it’s a moment in history,” says the planning team. “To have Sizzla here during his 30th year is symbolic. His career started with fire, and he’s still burning bright.”

Hosted by the City of Lauderhill, this celebration is expected to be one of the most impactful cultural events of the summer. Whether you’re a fan of roots reggae, conscious dancehall, or Jamaica’s evolving musical legacy — this is where you need to be.

August 3rd. Lauderhill. Solid As A Rock. Don’t miss it.
