Jamaican artist Shenseea recently made her debut on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
Accompanied by three backup singers, she captivated the audience at NBC’s Studio 6B on June 18 with performances of “Keep A Place” and “Neva Neva,” two tracks from her new album “Never Gets Late Here,” released last month.
Shenseea’s eagerly awaited “Fallon” performance wrapped up an episode that also featured interviews with American actors Kevin Costner and Chace Crawford.
This isn’t Shenseea’s first time on late-night TV; she previously appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2022.
“Never Gets Late Here” debuted at #4 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart the week it was released.
The album, launched on May 24 via Rich Immigrants/Interscope, also entered the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart at #18.
“Never Gets Late Here” includes 14 tracks, featuring collaborations like “Red Flag” with Anitta, “Work Me Out” with Wizkid, the chart-topping “Hit and Run” featuring Masicka, and “Flava” featuring American rapper and singer Coi Leray.
The album boasts contributions from producers such as London On Da Track, C. ‘Tricky’ Stewart, Supa Mario, Dwayne ‘Supa Dups’ Chin-Quee, Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor, Chimney Records, Banx and Ranx, and Rvssian.
Shenseea’s debut album “Alpha,” released in March 2022, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and #3 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
