Popular St Kitts media personality arrested during live broadcast

As viewers tuned into Devin “Buckie Got It” Richardson’s Facebook Live broadcast on Saturday, an unexpected event unfolded. The live stream of the well-known media figure from St Kitts and Nevis took a dramatic twist as law enforcement intervened, leading to his arrest.

The warrant revealed

Reports are that during the live video, a police officer approached Richardson and told him: “There is a warrant of arrest in existence for you.” 

Richardson initially thought the incident was a prank and began laughing. However, the cop informed him that the matter was not a joke.

Confused, Richardson sought clarification once again, but the gravity of the situation quickly became apparent when the officer said: “Let’s go down to the station and you will know.”

Facing the charges

Reports are that following a brief encounter,  the cop informed Richardson that there was a warrant of arrest for him on the charge of preventing the course of justice.

The charge stems from actions allegedly taken between October 6th and 16th, 2023.

According to SKN News, the St Kitts and Nevis Police Force took action on eight warrants, which were issued in his name on the first instance they got, leading to the apprehension and subsequent charging of Richardson.

It is further reported that the charges were formally laid at the Basseterre Police Station on November 4th, 2023, which marked a significant moment in the legal proceedings surrounding this high-profile case.

Richardson’s arrest has sent shockwaves through the community, with the gravity of the allegations against the popular media personality.
