Kaedi Philo lights up Jamaica with ‘Seasons Changing’ — A reggae-infused debut

Multifaceted artist Kaedi Philo steps into the spotlight with “Seasons Changing” — a deeply personal, reggae-infused debut that bridges her New York upbringing with her Jamaican roots. Known to many as a member of the acclaimed vocal group Citizen Queen, Kaedi now begins a new chapter grounded in honesty, cultural reflection, and spiritual depth.

Currently in Jamaica for promotional appearances, community engagement, and studio work, Kaedi is immersing herself in the environment that inspired the record — bringing the music full circle and laying the foundation for her next creative era.

“My sound can be described as vulnerable, honest, and healing — it’s an ode to myself and anyone who listens,” says Kaedi, whose message is already resonating with fans across generations.

“Seasons Changing” was born during a transformative trip to Kingston, where Kaedi rode through the city with her father and uncle, blasting demos and absorbing the island’s rhythm.

“Life tends to give you a million reasons to call it quits,” she reflects. “But I just needed a pick-me-up to shift my focus toward the things that make life worth living.”

The song’s music video, shot entirely in Kingston, captures the island’s raw beauty and cultural vibrancy. Fans have praised it for its authenticity — many saying it feels like they’re “right there with her,” immersed in the moment.

Kaedi’s evolution is shaped by years of experience and powerful mentorship. From her a cappella roots and time with Citizen Queen to collaborations with Grammy-winning producers like Scott Hoying, Nova Wav, and reggae icons Lynford “Fatta” Marshall and Richard “Bobo” Bell, she’s crafting a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshing.

Born in New York to Jamaican parents and now based in Los Angeles, Kaedi draws from a dynamic mix of genres — pop, R&B, hip-hop, soul, electronic, and reggae. Her versatility isn’t a trend — it’s a reflection of her identity.

“Music has always been my safe haven — a sacred space to channel divine messages and reflect the world as I see it,” she shares.

Since its release, “Seasons Changing” has struck a chord globally. From heartfelt DMs to joyful beachside videos, fans are connecting deeply. Streams continue to climb, with Los Angeles leading the charge.

Her message remains clear: truth, love, curiosity, and spiritual connection.

“I encourage anyone who comes across my music to stay curious and find the truth within themselves — whatever that ends up being in this life.”

Kaedi is using her time in Jamaica not only to promote “Seasons Changing”, but to reconnect with the culture and community that shaped her — while crafting new material alongside her trusted creative team. Her upcoming releases promise even more heart, intention, and sonic growth.

“What is real will never leave,” she affirms.

In a music landscape often driven by fleeting trends, Kaedi Philo offers something far more enduring — a sound that is rooted, resonant, and radically authentic.

Her next live performance is set for July in Los Angeles, in collaboration with Caribbean-owned luxury brand Oui the People, with more announcements coming soon.
