Veteran Jamaican entertainment journalist and television host Winford Williams is currently receiving treatment at Cornwall Regional Hospital following a motor vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Montego Bay, St James.
The accident occurred just hours after the close of Reggae Sumfest 2025, which wrapped up its final performances at Catherine Hall around daybreak on Sunday. Preliminary reports suggest that Williams’ vehicle collided with a tour bus. Two other passengers in his vehicle reportedly escaped without injury.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the severity of Williams’ injuries or disclosed the exact location and time of the incident. A photo circulating online shows what is believed to be the aftermath of the crash.
Williams, best known as the producer and host of OnStage, has long been a respected figure in the Jamaican entertainment industry. Through decades of coverage, he has helped spotlight the careers of numerous artists and has become a staple in local media and cultural commentary.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and more information is expected in the coming days.
