Dr. Gabrielle Henry was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 on Saturday at the AC Hotel Kingston, receiving the crown from Miss Universe Jamaica 2024 Rachel Silvera.
Troy-Ann Anderson, Miss Universe Jamaica East 2025, earned first runner-up honors, while Matea Smith placed second runner-up and took home the Best Evening Wear award.
An ophthalmologist by profession, Henry is a passionate advocate for the visually impaired. Her See Me Foundation focuses on providing educational and economic opportunities for persons who are blind or have reduced vision.

Anderson, a performer with a love for dance, graduated from Northern Caribbean University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting). Smith, a University of Florida graduate with a degree in behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, is currently pursuing a career in surgery. Despite a diagnosis of hip dysplasia in childhood that led to three surgeries and ended her track and field ambitions, Smith remains determined to fulfill her dream.
Several contestants received sectional awards: Henry shared the Altruism Award with Keandra Wellington and Tasharrie McLean, and also won Best Personality and the Media Challenge Award. She tied with Shiann Excell, the Essence of Style winner, for Best Swimwear. Other winners included Esther Moore (Social Media Award), Samantha McFarlane (Go-Getter Award), Rajivea Soman (Most Photogenic), Akedia Morgan (Spirit of the Pageant Award), and Barbie Mudahy (Miss Congenial Award).
Henry, a trained vocalist and pianist, will represent Jamaica at the 74th Miss Universe pageant set for November 21 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
