Heavyweight Jamaican artistes, Jah Cure and Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, have teamed up for a new single entitled Marijuana.
The tune is set to hit airwaves on April 19, and use its release to support and celebrate festivities on April 20. 4/20, as it’s popularly referred to, is a date in which the smoking of marijuana is celebrated across the globe with events and conferences held on that day. The digits 420 is just simply refers to the act of smoking marijuana, for those in the know.
According to reports, Jah Cure and Marley are support a slew of events across the US during this year’s 4/20 celebrations, and will be provided specially made Marijuana rolling papers and other smoking collateral to patrons.
Those who have caught an early listen to the song say it’s an ode to the euphoric sensations of smoking cannabis, with a line stating, “CBD is my medicine… Legal drugs, they killing us.”
