Beverly Kuykendall announced as keynote speaker Broward & Beyond Business Conference

 

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Beverly Kuykendall, President of Government Business for Miramar’s American Medical Depot (AMD) and a sought-after speaker and business leader will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 Broward & Beyond Business Conference hosted by the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development on Friday, May 3rd at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida.

“Ms. Kuykendall is a dynamic speaker, and we are excited to have her deliver the keynote address at our premier countywide business conference,” said Mr. Sandy-Michael E. McDonald, OESBD Director. “It’s amazing that Broward County is lucky enough to have such a gem in our region, and that she is willing to share her knowledge with our luncheon guests this year.” 

In her current role at AMD, Kuykendall leads expansion into key areas aligned with its long-term strategic goals. Under her leadership, AMD was awarded a contract to provide more than 1 million hygiene kits for the Syrian Refugee Effort, and a $1.2 billion contract to provide medical supplies to more than 60 VA Medical Centers from Florida to Maine. Kuykendall’s background in relationship development provides context to her facilitative approach to understanding and proposing solutions to difficult economic issues. 


Recipient of several awards
The recipient of numerous awards including the 50 Most Powerful Minority Women in Business (Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council), Small Business Champion of the Year (U.S. Small Business Administration, Los Angeles District Office) and South Florida’s 25 Most Influential and Prominent Women in Business and Leadership (Legacy Magazine), Kuykendall has worked with Proctor & Gamble, American Hospital Supply, Xerox and Herman Miller. Prior to AMD, she served as president and CEO of Federal and Commercial Contracts, Inc. (FCCI). She has a B.S. in Business Management from Cal Poly University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. 

The 2019 Broward & Beyond Business Conference is held during World Trade Month and National Small Business Week and is anticipated to attract over 650 entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals.
