Rainforest Seafood makes splash at North America’s largest seafood expo

A ‘fin-tastic’ time of business was recently had by renowned seafood supplier Rainforest Caribbean Limited at Seafood Expo North America, the continent’s premier seafood exhibition.

Held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Massachusetts from March 10-12, the event drew industry players from across the globe to network, and engage in transactions concerning all things seafood: products, processing equipment, and packaging solutions. Attendees included importers, exporters, wholesalers, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels, and various retail and food service entities.

Established in 1995 by CEO Brian Jardim, Rainforest Caribbean Limited has emerged as a leading seafood supplier and manufacturer, headquartered in Jamaica with operations spanning the region. At the expo, the company showcased an array of their companies offerings, including, conch, shrimp, stone crab, and the always coveted spiny-tail lobster.

Having been a staple at Seafood Expo North America since 2016, Rainforest acknowledged that its presence at the lavish exposition plays a major role in fostering its export growth. Currently the company exports to over 30 countries, including, Australia, Germany, France, China, and Japan, with hopes and a vision to export to many more countries in the future.

The company has prioritized investments in regional expansion, vertical integration, and food safety standards in recent years. Their Kingston plant recently achieved Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification, further enhancing their appeal to international buyers and their seafood processing plants in Jamaica, Belize, and St. Vincent adhere to the optimum international standards, including certifications from the European Union (EU), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) here in the United States.
