An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 rattled several parts of Trinidad on Wednesday but there were no immediate reports of injury or destruction.
The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) said the tremor occurred at 9.03 a.m. and was located Latitude: 10.82N Longitude: 61.40W at a depth of 47 miles.
It said the quake was felt 13 miles north east of the capital Port of Spain, 15 miles northwest of Arima, and 39 miles north of San Fernando.
The quake is the second to rattle the oil rich twin island republic in as many days.
SRC reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 hit the country on Tuesday at 9.34 p.m. (local time) and occurred at Latitude: 10.92N Longitude: 61.07W with a depth of 21 miles.
It was felt 35 miles north east of Port of Spain, 24 miles north east of Arima, and 29 miles south west of Scarborough in Tobago.
