City of Miramar Celebrates Parks and Recreation Month This July

MIRAMAR, Florida- This July, the city of Miramar is celebrating Parks and Recreation Month, encouraging citizens to get involved and take advantage of all the exciting activities happening at the local parks and recreation centers.

The Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate by hosting a range of fun activities all month long across the city. A variety of fun and activities are available for residents of all ages and abilities, including:

  • Teen Fit for teenagers ages 15-19
  • Hip Hop Saturdays: Open Gym Basketball with music and 15-minute running clock games.

  • Free Workouts at Ansin Sports Complex, Sunset Lakes Community Center, and Vernon E. Hargray Youth Enrichment Center. Identification and proof of residency will be required to sign up for free all month. 
  • Activities include Funbrella Fridays at the Pool with a 50% discount on Funbrella Rentals on Fridays during July.
