The Festival made the announcement on Sunday, March 17, just hours after Buju’s massive show in Kingston held at the national stadium. “The Gargamel returns to Reggae Sumfest on Festival Night 2, July 20” reads the social media post. Festival Night 2 is marketed as “Sumfest to B.B.C!” as not only will Banton be a headliner, but so will Beres Hammond and Chronixx.

Other confirmed acts for Night 2 include Tarrus Riley, Protoje, Chris Martin, Jah9 and Dalton Harris.

Reggae Sumfest will be held in Montego Bay from July 14 to 20. Festival Night 1, which is known as Dancehall night, will see performances from Spice, Dexta Daps, Spragga Benz, Elephant Man, among others.

The festival will update the lineup for both nights in the coming weeks. Advanced tickets are now on sale at Reggaesumfest.com
