Ride Palm Tran public transportation FREE to the Voting Polls

Palm Tran will be providing free transit service to anyone who is taking the bus to vote on Election Day, Nov. 6, 2018.  Simply let the driver know, or show a voter registration card.

 “I believe everyone should exercise their right to vote, and this free service will help citizens in Palm Beach County have access to this opportunity,” Palm Tran Executive Director Clinton B. Forbes said.

 Palm Tran Connection, the door-to-door shared ride service for qualifying disabled individuals, will also be free for those who are voting.  The regular cash fare will apply for return trips from voting. 

To plan a trip, go to www.palmtran.org, and input your origin and destination on the homepage.  Palm Tran also has a free trip-planning app, known as My Stop Mobile, which is available in the Apple App store or Google Play Store.

 About Palm Tran Public Transportation:  Palm Tran is the fixed-route and paratransit provider for Palm Beach County and is a nonprofit organization owned by the Board of County Commissioners.  More than nine million rides were taken on the fixed-route bus system last year.  There are 159 buses in the fixed-route fleet including 40 diesel-electric hybrids.  There are 32 routes in the Palm Tran system.  Palm Tran Connection, which is the paratransit service, provides roughly 3,500 rides daily.
