USCIS to Welcome Over 500 New U.S. Citizens at the South Florida Fair

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will hold a very special citizenship ceremony at the South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach on Tuesday, January 23. USCIS West Palm Beach Field Office Director, Wendy Wilcox, will administer the Oath of Allegiance to a group of 512 new citizens.

 The master of ceremonies will be USCIS officer Tonia Malaniak, while the keynote speech will be delivered by Jonathan “Jack” M. Frost, past trustee and chair of the South Florida Fair. The posting of the colors will be done by the Seminole Ridge High School Color Guard.

 The 512 citizenship candidates hail from the following 65 countries: Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, People’s Republic of China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Republic of Korea, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela and Vietnam.

 USCIS encourages new citizens and guests to share their naturalization ceremony experiences and photos through social media, using the hashtag #newUScitizen.
