Jamaican football stalwarts Andre Blake and Damion Lowe have earned spots on the CONCACAF League A Best XI following impressive displays during the CONCACAF Nations League’s October matches. They join right-back Tayvon Gray as the only other Jamaican in this elite line-up.
Blake and Lowe, highly capped with 78 and 71 national team appearances respectively, were instrumental in leading Jamaica’s defense, which helped secure two vital clean sheets and clinch first place in Group B. Known for his poise under pressure, Blake wrapped up the group phase with two shutouts against Nicaragua and Honduras, making 11 saves, six clearances, and completing nearly 98% of his passes.
Blake reflected on the honor, saying, “It’s always an honor to be recognized like this, and it really reflects the hard work our whole team has put in.”

Lowe, a consistent force in Jamaica’s backline, shone in the 2-0 victory over Nicaragua. His defensive prowess was evident, as he contributed eight ball recoveries and made a key clearance that helped maintain Jamaica’s lead. “We aim to win every game,” Lowe said. “As senior players, it’s our job to set the standard on the field. This recognition motivates us to keep pushing forward and continue making Jamaica proud.”
Tayvon Gray also made a strong impact, especially in Jamaica’s win over Nicaragua, where he dominated the right side and recorded two clearances to contribute to another clean sheet.
Looking ahead, the Reggae Boyz will face the USA in the Nations League quarter-finals on November 14 and 18.
