This past weekend, Tree of Life Ministries International hosted a successful Health, Wellness, and Career Empowerment event at its location on 2971 North Powerline Road in Pompano Beach, FL.

The event, which attracted numerous community members, offered a variety of health services, educational workshops, and wellness activities aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and overall well-being in a lively, engaging setting.

Sponsored by local businesses, healthcare providers, and nonprofit organizations, the event provided free health screenings, including checks for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and cancer screenings for prostate and cervical health. Healthcare professionals were available throughout the day, offering consultations and advice on managing chronic conditions. Mental health counselors and wellness coaches led discussions on stress management, healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of maintaining physical health.

A standout feature of the event was the fitness zone, where a fitness instructor led an energizing session that encouraged participants to build core strength. The interactive activities demonstrated how simple it can be to incorporate exercise into everyday routines.

In addition to health services, attendees participated in educational workshops covering topics such as nutrition, business, and retirement planning. Children enjoyed the Kid Zone, which featured face painting, games, and an up-close look at a Pompano Beach Fire and Rescue truck.

Event coordinator Dex Donaldson remarked, “Our goal was to connect people with the healthcare and wellness resources they need to live healthier, happier lives. It was inspiring to see so many residents take advantage of the services and participate in activities that can improve their well-being. Overall, we were pleased with the turnout and the positive response from the community.”

Tree of Life Ministries extended special thanks to all participants and contributors, including key vendors like the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Research Department, Broward Community Health, CAN Community Health, and the OneBlood Organization. Sponsors included M&J United Auto Sales, AR1 Realty, Valley Bank, Renaissance Management Group, Voice of the Caribbean Radio, Global Village Impact Corp., and Spirit of Excellence Events.
